The Guerrilla Lit Reading Series is pleased to announce that our reading scheduled for Wednesday, July 27th will feature Moriah Cleveland, Jesús Ángel García, and Tess Patalano.
The reading will occur at BAR on A at 7:30 PM. The event is FREE and open to the public.
Moriah Cleveland was raised in Williamsport, Pennsylvania by two visual artists (as opposed to wolves.) She received her MFA in Fiction from The New School in 2005. She has lived on both the right and left coasts, but never in the middle. She has also traveled multiple times to the Amazon Basin, in order to gain first-hand knowledge of the setting of her first novel, Encante.
Jesús Ángel García is the author of badbadbad, a transmedia novel that combines a traditional print book, a soundtrack of songs derived from the narrative and a documentary film based on the novel’s themes of fear, hypocrisy, e-intimacy, sexual morality and self-destruction. Uneasy with so-called living online, he is bringing badbadbad to the flesh world with a massive summer tour of art galleries, theaters, nightclubs, bookshops, cafes and street corners across the country. Please visit his tour blog. Reviews, interviews, excerpts from the book, song samples, and film clips are here.
