This month’s reading on February 26th is CANCELLED due to illness. The Guerrilla Lit Readings Series returns March 19th. Stay tuned for details.

 

The Guerrilla Lit Reading Series is pleased to announce that our reading scheduled for Wednesday, February 26th will feature Bess Lovejoy, Jennifer McCartney, and Nicole Audrey Spector.

The reading will occur in The Back Room at Jimmy’s No. 43 at 7:30 PM. The event is FREE and open to the public

Bess Lovejoy is a writer, researcher, and editor based in Brooklyn and Seattle. She writes about death, obscure history, and sometimes art, literature, and science. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Time.com, Lapham’s Quarterly, The Believer, The Boston Globe, The Stranger, and other publications. She worked on the Schott’s Almanac series for five years. Her book Rest in Pieces: The Curious Fates of Famous Corpses is out now from Simon & Schuster.

Jennifer McCartney is a freelance writer, editor, and the author of the novel Afloat with Penguin UK. Her short fiction has been broadcast on BBC Radio and she has written for XOJaneJoyland, and the Globe and Mail.  She lives in Brooklyn.

Nicole Audrey Spector is a writer, editor, and reporter. She is a weekly contributor to the New Yorker‘s nightlife section, has written for the London Times and Salon, among other publications that are arguably more compelling, like Grocery Headquarters and Pet Elite. Her first book, the humor novel Fifty Shades of Dorian Gray was published in 2013 in the U.S, UK, France, and Russia. She lives in Brooklyn with her dog. https://twitter.com/NicoleSpector
